I can't get the server to run AT ALL. Because of the segmentation violation, after Chaneru invokes the Segmentation Violation error, and you hit OK the program quits. Is there any other workaround? Is there a way to get it to skip the iTunes scan?

best,

Fred

Go into the Chaneru.ini file in "My Roku" and delete any line that has iTunes on it.

It should just sit like that until a file request from the Roku.

Click on About this Mac
If it is Intel, check the processor name.

Processor Name 32- or 64-bit
Intel Core Solo 32 bit
Intel Core Duo 32 bit
Intel Core 2 Duo 64 bit
Intel Quad-Core Xeon 64 bit
Dual-Core Intel Xeon 64 bit
Quad-Core Intel Xeon 64 bit

The i386 is 32 bit and the x86_64 is for 64 bit

I am having some trouble with Chaneru detecting intruder alerts whenever the Roku tries to access the server. The Roku sees the media file, but it will not play. Any quick fix?

Which version are you on ? Both the channel and server should be 1.4b
If they are, could you send me a server trace ? support@chaneru.com

Hi, Jim. Sorry to be a bother. The Chaneru Channel is Beta ("Local Media Server BETA"), and the installed server version is Chaneru Server for Roku 1.4b.

The trace.txt file is >6 million characters, so I included it as an attachment. Thanks for any assist.

A little further info:
The computer is an old Mac Mini, 1.6 GHz Intel Core Duo, so 32-bit.

The iTunes and iPhoto libraries are stored in a shared partition on an external 2 TB USB drive. Don't know if it makes any difference, but iTunes shares all of the various libraries among our local Macs without issue.

Upon starting the Chaneru server, the Roku finds it correctly identified and loads the iTunes library (I have been unable to load the iPhoto library for some reason, probably my lack of understanding how it is done). The Roku will show all the titles in the playlist correctly. Most times, it will even play the first selection on the list. After that, the server cuts the connection, giving an intruder warning.
