Basically any Mac released after late 2006 is 64-bit. If you’re unsure whether or not your Mac is 64 bit or not, the easiest way to check is to find out what kind of processor your Mac has in it, and the easiest way to do that is to pull down the Apple menu and click ‘About this Mac’.
This should display what your OS level is and then look at what is listed next to “Processor”

Intel Core Solo - 32 bit
Intel Core Duo - 32 bit
Intel Core 2 Duo – 64 bit
Intel Quad-Core Xeon – 64 bit
Intel Core i5 – 64 bit
Intel Core i7 – 64 bit

So for intel 32 bit load the i386 and 64 bit x86_64 and everyone else the ppc.

Jim,

Thanks! I downloaded the i386, but should have downloaded the x86_64. It seems to be working fine, but I'll replace it with the correct version.

Fred, can you send me the "iTunes Music Library.xml" file ?
If I have the file I can debug what's going on with the table builder.
There must be something with a song name ? special character ?
It can't be the size of the library because the record so far as I know is over 60,000 songs. (must take forever to load !)

Ok, the problem is that you have multi-line comments on a lot of your songs / playlists.
I expect each xml parameter to be contained on a single line. No new lines.

The segment fault is caused by me not having a track or playlist id because the xml parsing got split by the extra newline (CR).

I have a fix that will prevent the segment fault but I really need code to enable multiple lines.
The fix and the code should be in the next beta release.

Thanks Jim. Glad to be of assistance. Is there any kind of workaround?

And does Chaneru only dovetail with the iTunes library, or will I be able to browse other folders on my server?

Best,

If you are quick, you should be able to cancel out of the iTunes scan.
You could remove "iTunes" from the server's "Title Bar" list and make a new link to "iTunes Music".
That would give you folders by artist.

How do I cancel out of the iTunes Scan without quitting the program? Hitting the exit button quits the program.

Also, does Chaneru need to be running or does it run in the background all the time?

Ok, your right ! I'm losing it !
I was thinking of the channel, canceling out of the scan.

The Chaneru server has to be running any time you want to run the Chaneru channel on the Roku. Other than that you can kill it.
One exception, if you are listening to an internet radio stream, once it starts, you can exit the server.

Were you able to delete iTunes and point to the music folder ?
